THEATRICAL WORK

Our current projects

A VERY HOMOS AND HOUMOUS CHAUNUKAH

Performed at The Yard Theatre, 11-14th December 2023

At Chanukah we celebrate oil, nationalism, and the military.

Armed with a chaotic, queer rendition of the Chanukah story, the anti-Zionist live art babes from Homos and Houmous ask: will there be enough oil? Or do we need to Just Stop Oil already? We bring live music, live shredding, live fracking and one or two Christmas songs.

The show features greenwashed balletic birds, corporate outreach stooges, and baroque drone music.

Everyone over 18 is welcome. No prior Jewish knowledge required. They speak directly from God.

Sponsored by The Yard Theatre and BP (Big Penis), with live music performed by Ilana Cravitz.

With famous and enlightened guest acts including Jordan Charles, The Nightbus, Joé de Vivre, Midgitte Bardot and Rachel Mars.

INCONSOLABLE!

Performed at:
Camden Peoples' Theatre, 16-17th April 2024

Extracts at:
Royal Court Theatre, July 2022
Royal Vauxhall Tavern, June 2022

INCONSOLABLE! is a tragic comedy about our trans relationships with Jewish grief rituals. What comes to the surface as we bury the dead?

While mourning the death of our friend Simon, we work out how to deal with loss our way. This involves food, digestion, community expulsion, burial rites and a gigantic Trans Anus. Running time is 80 minutes.

The show brings together storytelling, ritual-based live art, and live klezmer music.
